Von ISO 27001 bis IEC 62443ongoing
‘From ISO 27001 to IEC 62443’ addresses the growing threat of cyber attacks, which caused around €267 billion worth of damage in 2024 alone. The affected parties include not only companies and critical infrastructures, but also local authorities and educational institutions.
The attack surface for cybercrime grows with every additional amount of data that migrates to inadequately secured servers. Through this project, Paul Geiersbach aims to make the invisible tangible and demonstrate why IT security is also a matter of digital sovereignty.
To this end, he examines the origins of computer viruses, key conferences, research institutions and trade fairs, as well as the real locations of attacks. It becomes clear that, although cyberattacks originate in the virtual world, their consequences affect very real places and people. This work provides a visual insight into digital activities and simultaneously highlights the efforts of those who work behind the scenes to ensure security.
